Dato' Sri Haji Fauzi Bin Abdul Rahman
Dato’ Sri Haji Fauzi Bin Abdul Rahman was appointed as the Non-Executive Chairman of MyHSR Corporation Sdn Bhd on 22 June 2023.

He brings with him a wealth of experience and is well versed in the development and challenges within the Malaysian rail industry having served on the Board of Directors of Malaysia Rail Link Sdn Bhd (MRL) between 2018 and 2021.

MRL is a subsidiary of the Minister of Finance (Incorporated) entrusted to manage the implementation of the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) project which connects Kota Bharu, Kelantan in the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia to Port Klang, Selangor in the west coast.

Dato’ Sri Haji Fauzi has also gathered extensive experience in the public service following an impeccable career dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of Malaysians. He has had a distinguished career and has served in a number of ministries, including as Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department between 1997 and 1999. He was also the Member of Parliament (MP) of Kuantan between 1990 and 1999, and later, the MP of Indera Mahkota between 2013 and 2018. He had also served as the Pahang State Assemblyman for Beserah between 1999 and 2001.

He also had a stellar career in the engineering field and in numerous government agencies and private companies. Between 1991 and 2003, he served as the President of the Paralympic Council of Malaysia that promoted the development of para sports for persons with disabilities in Malaysia.

Dato’ Sri Haji Fauzi holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Mining Engineering from the prestigious Imperial College of Science and Technology, University of London.

Dato' Mohd Nur Ismal Bin Mohamed Kamal
Dato’ Mohd Nur Ismal bin Mohamed Kamal was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MyHSR Corporation Sdn Bhd (MyHSR Corp) on 10 July 2020. He was also MyHSR Corp’s CEO from its inception in 2015 until 2019, when he led the company and the Kuala Lumpur-Singapore High Speed Rail (KL-SG HSR) project through various milestones.

Among the highlights were the Bilateral Agreement signing between the Government of Malaysia and the Government of the Republic of Singapore, launch of the seven Malaysian HSR stations’ concept designs, completion of the Public Inspection exercise, selection of the Project Delivery Partners for the local civil works, and many others.

No stranger to the Malaysian public transportation industry, Dato’ Mohd Nur has realised a number of key accomplishments in his role as the CEO of the Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD) between 2008 and 2015, including the successful launch of the Go-KL bus services, development of the country’s first Bus Rapid Transit system, and development of the National Land Public Transport Masterplan which helped set the vision and direction for the public transport industry in Malaysia. The Greater Kuala Lumpur/ Klang Valley Land Public Transport Master Plan that he led had also laid the foundation for the construction of MRT 1, 2, and 3, LRT 3, Subang Skypark link as well as the KL-SG HSR development.

A regular speaker at various rail conferences locally and abroad, Dato’ Mohd Nur brings with him over two decades of diversified experience both internationally and locally having served in management consultancy firms AT Kearney and Accenture, as well as in DRB-HICOM Bhd. He also led the development of the critically-acclaimed National Higher Education Action Plan at the Ministry of Higher Education.

With his strategic vision and insights, Dato’ Mohd Nur was also engaged as a Special Adviser to the Ministry of Transport where he successfully led the Urban Public Transport Lab under the Government Transformation Programme in developing high impact initiatives to improve Klang Valley’s public transport system. He also led the initial efforts in developing the concept for the MRT project up to its successful launch.

Dato’ Mohd Nur holds a Master of Business Administration in Strategy, Finance and Marketing from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University in Illinois. He also has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Finance and Decision Sciences from the University of Denver in Colorado.
Datuk Saat Bin Esa
Datuk Saat Bin Esa was appointed to the Board of MyHSR Corporation Sdn Bhd in 2021 and is a member of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee. He also chairs the Audit and Risk Management Committee.

Datuk Saat was the former Accountant General of Malaysia from 2017 to 2019 and left behind a strong legacy with his steadfast dedication to upholding the highest standards of financial governance and fostering greater transparency.

In this pivotal role, Datuk Saat spearheaded efforts to streamline financial processes, enhance transparency, and ensure fiscal responsibility across the Government. His tenure as the Accountant General was marked by initiatives and strategic reforms that bolstered Malaysia's financial infrastructure.

Datuk Saat has 32 years of experience in accountancy as his career in public service started in 1983 with the Accountant General’s Department of Malaysia. Datuk Saat held numerous positions from being an auditor, treasurer to director in various sectors of the public service including as an accountant in the Ministry of Home Affairs, Head of Accountant II in Ministry of Education, Auditor in Bintulu Port Authority, Director for Finance and Accounts Division in Fisheries Development Authority of Malaysia and as Selangor State’s Treasurer from 2007-2009.

Besides his tenure with the Government, Datuk Saat has also served on the Board of Directors of Percetakan Nasional Malaysia Berhad, Pengurusan Aset Air Berhad, Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (Diperbadankan), and Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia. His continued involvement in various advisory capacities underscores his enduring passion for contributing to the betterment of Malaysia's financial landscape and ensuring fiscal prudence across various sectors.

Datuk Saat graduated from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) with Bachelor of Honours Degree in Accounting. He has two Master of Business Administration degrees from Universiti Putra Malaysia and AIX-Marseille University, France. He is a registered Chartered Accountant and also a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.

Datuk Rosli Bin Yaakub
Datuk Rosli Bin Yaakub was appointed to the Board of MyHSR Corporation Sdn Bhd in 2023. He is the Chairman of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and a member of the Audit and Risk Management Committee.

Datuk Rosli is currently the Deputy Undersecretary of the Statutory Body Strategic Management Division at the Ministry of Finance, Malaysia. He has served in the Ministry with extensive experience spanning over several senior roles including the Deputy Undersecretary at the Strategic Financial Control and Corporate Division which was involved in the formulation, coordination, and monitoring of the Treasury Strategic Plan implementation.

Datuk Rosli is a distinguished public servant with an illustrious career spanning several decades in the Malaysian civil service. He is renowned for his outstanding strategic thinking and decision-making from his time in various key positions within the government. Notably, Datuk Rosli was the Head of Secretariat for the Governance, Procurement, and Finance Investigation Committee at the Prime Minister's Department and was the Deputy Secretary-General (Management and Development) at the Ministry of Higher Education.

In addition to his current positions, Datuk Rosli has contributed significantly to various corporate boards including as a Director at Technology Depository Agency Berhad, Innocorp Venture Sdn Bhd, Syarikat Perumahan Negara Berhad, and HRD Corp. His astute experience and knowledge have been crucial in propelling the development and progress of these organisations during a time of significant change and fluidity within the industries. Besides being a board member to several statutory bodies and corporations, Datuk Rosli has also sat on the Board of several public universities.

Datuk Rosli brings a wealth of knowledge with more than 25 years of experience in the business administration and financial services sectors. Throughout his career, Rosli has been recognised for his outstanding service with multiple awards, including the Excellent Service Award from various ministries and the Treasury Special Award from the Ministry of Finance.

His remarkable degree of knowledge and proficiency is demonstrated by his solid academic credentials. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) from Universiti Malaya, a Diploma in Public Administration from the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN), and a Master’s in Business Administration from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.

Mohd Shahriman Bin Shafein

En. Mohd Shahriman Shafein was appointed to the Board of MyHSR Corporation Sdn Bhd in 2023 and is a Member of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee

En. Mohd Shahriman is currently the Director General of Rail at the Ministry of Transport (MOT) Malaysia and has served in the position since 2019. He is a seasoned professional with a distinguished career in the public sector spanning over two decades in the transportation and infrastructure sectors.

Among his various responsibilities, he also oversees the planning and implementation of high-impact railway development projects in Malaysia such as the Kuala Lumpur-Singapore High Speed Rail, Gemas-Johor Bahru and Ipoh-Padang Besar Electrified Double Track (EDT), East Coast Rail Link and many others. His strategic vision and technical expertise ensure that these projects are delivered in the quality standards expected by the Government and complied with regulatory requirements while bringing value to stakeholders and the public at large.

En. Mohd Shahriman also plays a pivotal role in various industry committees, being the Chairman of ASEAN Rail Transport Special Work Group (ARSWG), Malaysia-Thailand Railway Joint Working Committee (RJWC), and Singapore-Kun Ming Rail Link (SKRL) Technical Committee on Seamless Operation. His leadership and contributions to these committees are crucial in advancing collaboration and cooperation within the region's transportation sector. His involvement in these international railway cooperations has been instrumental in enhancing connectivity and driving economic development across the region.

En. Mohd Shahriman holds a Master of Science in Transportation & Logistics Management from Universiti Teknologi MARA along with a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechatronics) from the International Islamic University Malaysia.
