KUALA LUMPUR, May 3 — Seven areas along the Kuala Lumpur-Singapore High Speed Rail (HSR) alignment could enjoy exponential growth once the line is completed in 2026, said MyHSR Corp Sdn Bhd.
Chief executive of the project delivery partner, Mohd Nur Ismal Kamal, said benefits include enhanced connectivity and competitiveness.
The seven areas are Bandar Malaysia, Sepang-Putrajaya, Seremban, Melaka, Muar, Batu Pahat and Iskandar Puteri, which will host stations for the rail line.
“This project is expected to generate more than 70, 000 jobs to deliver the civil works packages, thus creating opportunities for professionals, skilled workers and students from all over the country to work along the corridor of the 335 km alignment within Malaysia,” he said.
